Building Our Community Program
About the Program
The Building Our Community Program was established by the Rotary Club of Spencerport with the goal to undertake construction projects which help promote community, health and wellness, and togetherness.
The finished project will be donated to deserving not-for profit organizations within the Rochester region with precedence given to organizations within the Town of Ogden.
Project Details
Projects will be predominately constructed with wood.
Project ideas include: picnic tables, benches, raised garden beds and potting benches.
Other project types will be considered.
Donating to the Program
There are many ways to support the program including:
- Donation of materials
- Donating money toward the program
- Donating money towards an approved project.
- Supporting our events and fundraisers
Donors who contribute over $500 will be recognized via a plaque attached to the completed project.
How to Apply
We encourage you to apply for your organization using the Project Application Form.
Alternatively, you may wish to nominate another organization using our Project Nomination Form.
Forms will be reviewed on a regular basis and the applicant/nominator will be notified whether or not their project was approved.
What Happens Next?
Prior to project construction, the project recipient will be consulted on their project.
Once the project is completed, it will be delivered to the recipient.
